What is SaaS?

SaaS (Software as a Service) is a business model, whereby software applications are delivered as a service over the Internet. SaaS providers host applications at their web servers and customers can access those via web interface without having to invest in any servers or install any software on their premises.

Today, when companies make budget cuts and reduce their spending on IT, the SaaS model becomes increasingly popular. SaaS-based applications enhance business efficiency and reduce IT operating costs.

SaaS becomes an alternative for Russian market, since with growing Internet broadband penetration the market comes online and the demand for affordable and non counterfeit business software grows.

There are 2 main differences SaaS model from infrastructure solutions:

1. Software location mode
In case of using SaaS-model, Software is established on remote data-centers outside the organization.

Customers data are logical insulated, which excludet the possibility for reading the data for unauthorized persons.
