Elisa’s Virtual Conferencing solutions increase productivity at work
The product selection of Elisa’s interaction solutions became larger in the fall. The Elisa Virtual Conferencing service provides companies with a versatile package for organizing online meetings. The Elisa Virtual Conferencing supplements the Elisa Negotiation Service family, which includes the Phone Negotiation and Virtual Conferencing solutions.
“The Elisa Virtual Conferencing solutions are based on the Cisco WebEx and Microsoft Live Meeting platforms. Now we can provide our customers with the most innovative virtual meeting solution available that can also be used for presenting the documents to be displayed in the meeting. Even the computers’ desktops can be shared among the participants. Virtual meetings can also be participated in through mobile or fixed phones by utilizing the integrated phone negotiation service,” says Mika Railosalo, Director at Elisa.
Elisa offers virtual interaction solutions as a SaaS service (Software as a Service). Companies do not need separate investments in hardware or software licenses. The Elisa Virtual Conferencing Service can be easily connected to companies’ IT environments, enabling the organization of meetings through the network using real-time image and sound. The organization of meetings is as easy as using electronic calendars, and meetings can be started at the push of a button.
“In information and office work, the challenges are growing as the amount of data, work requirements and haste are increasing. According to Elisa’s strategy, we are continuously introducing new services onto the market for quick interaction and data management and distribution.
We provide companies with easy-to-use and data-secure interaction solutions for more efficient meeting practices.” Virtual meetings make meeting arrangements easier, improve data management, make decision-making quicker and increase productivity. Data security and more efficient interaction utilizing modern communications technology are also factors that increase competitiveness.
“Virtual conferencing also save companies’ costs and the environment. A medium-sized company can easily save tens of thousands of euros in travel expenses,” says Mika Railosalo.
It is estimated that there are about half a billion employees in the world who can utilize network-based virtual meeting services in their work. “This is a true opportunity for companies because only a fraction of data employees are regularly utilizing virtual meeting services or video conferences in their work. In Finnish companies, there are hundreds of thousands of data employees for whom the network interaction services are extremely suitable,” says Mika Railosalo.
