The new discovery of Miasoedov

Under this particular motto the video conferencing between St. Petersburg and Orel was hold. This conferencing was dedicated to the works of the artist Miasoedov. The company ’’Elisa Russia’’ was the technological partner of this project.


Within the limits of inter-regional collaboration this video conferencing St. Petersburg- Orel was hold. The children who attended this conferencing were not from Orel only, but also from some other areas of this region. The open video lesson was conducted by Lazuka Albena Kuzminechna, the Senior Scientific Researcher of the State Russian Museum. The Orel city wasn’t the accidental choice for this conferencing to be organized in there, this area is the homeland of Grigoriy Grigorievich Miasoedov. The future artist started his education in Orlovskiy Grammar School and his teacher of painting was the professional artist I.A.Volkov.

During the video conferencing children received the exhaustive information about the artist’s works, his personality and the awards he had been rewarded with. Meanwhile Albena Kuzminechna gave the chance to the children to ask any questions they are interested in. The main thing has to be admitted that those questions have been putting by the children were quite interesting. For one of the questions, which sounded like: ‘’what affords can be putting by us, the schoolchildren in particular, for the restoration works at the Miasoedov’s birth country estate in the village Penkovo?’’ –the children got practically strict instructions for the future actions. Now they are going to write the appeal about their initiatives according the restoration works at the birth country estate to Municipal Department of Culture.

Dzirkova Tatiana asked: ‘’is anything known about Miasoedov’s progeny? Are they still alive or not?’’ Mironova Aliena asked another question:’’ Repin took G. G. Miasoedov like a prototype of Ivan the Terrible on his canvas. Was it a try to show to the artist some of his imperfections such as intolerance and his imperious character?’’ Also children were quite interested in the Kramskoy opinion concerning Miasoedov’s canvas and which of the famous people did pose for the artist? After the meeting the director of Shablikin's school said:’’ Today we revealed Miasoedov anew for us’’.

The video conferencing went off within the limits of the project ‘’ St. Petersburg video conferencing-regions R.F.’’ under the support of the Committee of the External Connections of St. Petersburg. This project has been directed to the patriotic upbringing of the children and young people and to the development of their inner-moral and social values. The famous native and foreign politicians, scientists, representatives of culture and arts, movie and stage stars, priests, the best employees of law enforcement agencies and sportsmen. They will hold the open lessons for the Russian school children in the different parts of the country.
The first video conferencing, which was hold by the famous actor Sergei Selin took place with the children in Arhangelsk on the first of December.
